The Intel Core Ultra 5 225F Processor — 10 cores and 10 threads, 3.3 GHz base rising to 4.9 GHz with Turbo Boost, 20 MB Intel Smart Cache, 65 W processor base power, LGA1851. Supplied from stock with a 1-year warranty.
The Core Ultra 5 225F is the entry part of the Arrow Lake desktop line: six performance cores plus four efficiency cores — ten cores, ten threads — at 3.30 GHz P-core base with a 4.90 GHz maximum turbo, 20 MB of cache and a 65 W base power, launched Q1 2025 with the graphics engine disabled.
It is the budget build\u2019s route onto the LGA1851 platform: DDR5-6400, PCIe 5.0 and the NPU at the bottom of the price stack, with a discrete graphics card doing the display work by design.

Instruction set extensions: Intel SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX and AVX2. Security and virtualisation: AES-NI, Intel VT-x with EPT and VT-d, Intel Boot Guard. On-die AI acceleration comes from the Intel AI Boost NPU, and workload scheduling between the performance and efficiency cores is handled by Intel Thread Director.
Anything on the LGA1851 socket with an Intel 800 series chipset: Z890 for overclocking, B860 and H810 for mainstream builds. This is a brand-new platform introduced with the Core Ultra Series 2 (Arrow Lake) desktop line: DDR5-only memory, PCIe 5.0 on the graphics link and an on-die NPU.
Two caveats: LGA1851 boards do not accept LGA1700 processors and vice versa — the socket looks similar but the pinout and keying changed, so check the socket, not just the brand. On the other hand, the cooler mounting pattern carries over from LGA1700, so most recent tower coolers fit without a new bracket; verify the cooler's rated wattage against the processor anyway. Tell us the board or the machine model when you enquire and we will confirm before you order.
| Processor | Cores / Threads | Base / Turbo | Cache | Power | Socket |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ultra 5 225F | 10 / 10 | 3.30 / 4.90 GHz | 20 MB | 65 W | LGA1851 |
| Ultra 5 235 | 14 / 14 | 3.40 / 5.00 GHz | 24 MB | 65 W | LGA1851 |
| Ultra 5 245 | 14 / 14 | 3.50 / 5.10 GHz | 24 MB | 65 W | LGA1851 |
| Ultra 7 265 | 20 / 20 | 2.40 / 5.30 GHz | 30 MB | 65 W | LGA1851 |
The 235 and 245 add efficiency cores and integrated graphics one and two tiers up, and the 265 is the Ultra 7 of the same 65 W class; all share the LGA1851 platform.
Every processor is covered by a 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship and function. If a part fails within the period we replace it or refund it, and we cover return shipping on a verified fault. Stock is held in our own warehouse and normally dispatches within three to seven working days; tracking is issued at dispatch.
The minimum order quantity for this processor is 2 units. Price is quotation-based rather than listed, because CPU pricing moves with each incoming batch — send us the quantity you need and we will come back with a firm quote and the current lead time. Larger quantities ship from the same production batch so the sSpec and the stepping stay consistent across your order.
Tell us who you are — we reply within one working day with a firm quote, stock status and lead time. Volume discounts available.
