The Intel Core i3-14100 Processor — 4 cores and 8 threads, 3.5 GHz base rising to 4.7 GHz with Turbo Boost, 12 MB Intel Smart Cache, 58 W processor base power, LGA1700. Supplied from stock with a 1-year warranty.
The i3-14100 is the top of the entry line: four Raptor Lake Refresh cores with Hyper-Threading, 3.50 GHz base and a 4.70 GHz Turbo, 12 MB of cache, all inside a 58 W envelope. On a per-core basis it is the quickest i3 Intel has put on a desktop socket, and it is the part that makes an entry machine feel like a mid-range one in everyday work.
The platform is what separates it from every older i3 in this catalogue. LGA1700 boards give you PCIe 5.0, DDR5 support, and a memory ceiling of 192 GB, so the same processor works in a DDR4 budget build and in a DDR5 workstation board. Intel UHD Graphics 730 adds AV1 decode on top of the usual HEVC and H.264 engines, which matters for signage and media boxes that stream modern codecs.

Instruction set extensions: Intel SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX and AVX2. Security and virtualisation: AES-NI, Intel VT-x with EPT and VT-d.
Anything on the LGA1700 socket with an Intel 600 or 700 series chipset: H610, B660, H670, Q670, Z690, W680, B760, H770 and Z790. Both DDR4 and DDR5 boards exist for this socket — the memory type is a property of the board, not the processor, and these parts support either.
One caveat when buying a board separately: 600 series boards may need a BIOS update before they recognise a 14th Generation part, and the LGA1700 socket has a loading-frame retention mechanism — check that the board ships with the correct frame. Tell us the board or the machine model when you enquire and we will confirm.
| Processor | Cores / Threads | Base / Turbo | Cache | Power | Socket |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| i3-12100 | 4 / 8 | 3.30 / 4.30 GHz | 12 MB | 58 W | LGA1700 |
| i3-14100 | 4 / 8 | 3.50 / 4.70 GHz | 12 MB | 58 W | LGA1700 |
| i3-13100 | 4 / 8 | 3.40 / 4.50 GHz | 12 MB | 60 W | LGA1700 |
The 14100 is a straight bin bump over the 13100 and the 12100 — same cores, same cache, same socket, higher clocks. Against the 12100 it is 200 MHz faster at base and 400 MHz at Turbo for the same 58 W, which is a meaningful step in single-threaded work. If the board is already LGA1700 and the budget allows, there is no reason to take the older part.
Every processor is covered by a 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship and function. If a part fails within the period we replace it or refund it, and we cover return shipping on a verified fault. Stock is held in our own warehouse and normally dispatches within three to seven working days; tracking is issued at dispatch.
The minimum order quantity for this processor is 2 units. Price is quotation-based rather than listed, because CPU pricing moves with each incoming batch — send us the quantity you need and we will come back with a firm quote and the current lead time. Larger quantities ship from the same production batch so the sSpec and the stepping stay consistent across your order.
Tell us who you are — we reply within one working day with a firm quote, stock status and lead time. Volume discounts available.
