The liquid-cooled 38-core tier of 3rd Gen Xeon

The 8368Q belongs to the 3rd Gen Xeon Scalable (Ice Lake-SP) family, launched in Q2 2021 on a 10 nm process, and it is the liquid-cooling-optimised twin of the Platinum 8368: the same 38 cores / 76 threads, 57 MB of cache and 270 W envelope, but clocked higher - a 2.6 GHz base and a 3.7 GHz turbo ceiling against the air-cooled part's 2.4/3.4 GHz - and rated TCASE 58 °C instead of 84 °C, because Intel specs the Q suffix against a liquid cooling loop. It pairs PCIe 4.0 with 64 lanes, is rated 2S (two sockets) with three UPI links at 11.2 GT/s, and runs DDR4-3200 across eight channels with a 6 TB per-socket ceiling - Intel Optane persistent memory 200 series is supported alongside DDR4. Intel Speed Select comes as Core Power and Turbo Frequency variants.

Security and acceleration are Ice Lake Platinum staples: AVX-512 with two FMA units, DL Boost, TSX-NI and VMD, Intel Crypto Acceleration, Resource Director Technology and Speed Shift, plus Total Memory Encryption, Run Sure reliability and Platform Firmware Resilience. SGX is supported with Intel SPS and a 512 GB enclave page cache - eight times the 64 GB allowance of the 8358. Package is 77.5 mm × 56.5 mm.
